Finally, We Can Have In-Person Conferences

Last week I attended the Missouri Community Action Network Annual Conference in Branson Missouri. It has been two years since our last in-person conference. And it was great to meet with people and discuss how we can help them be more efficient and effective in processing applications and other CAP staff functions.

Thank you to all the Missouri CAN staff that stopped by the booth to talk. It was great to talk to you all and I hope you took away some useful information.

CAP conference

The MO Community Action Conference is one of my favorite. The food is always wonderful and the CAP staff members are so engaging.

Congratulations to Missouri CAN on Their 50th Anniversary

Missouri Community Action Network and its nineteen CAP agencies celebrated their 50th anniversary. During the last 50 years, they have helped hundreds of thousands of less-fortunate people with basic needs. This is a significant amount of work. And paperwork. For example, a typical energy assistance application contains about 10 pages. And an agency can process between 5,000 and 30, 000 applications per year. And for the enrollment of a head-start student, it can take up to 50 pages of paper. That is a lot of paper to handle. And is very important work but time-consuming.

That is why we are so excited to work with CAP agencies and help them reduce the cost of processing applications, so more funds can be put toward helping their low-income clients.

NEUAC trade show

If you are one of the six hundred people attending the NEUAC conference June 27th – 30th in New Orleans, please stop by our booth. I would love to talk to you about how we can help you spend less time shuffling paperwork and more time helping your clients.
